Looking Ahead

Through the project, the Belluno eyewear district aims to increase the presence of its companies in international markets andto generate a greater culture of network approach in developing sector strategies.

The district has developed a project that allows it to establish a Temporary Export Manager who coordinates the actions of individual companies participating in the project and simultaneously stimulates their international synergies. In addition to this figure, the partners have budget for consulting activities aimed at defining and implementing export plans and business models that converge toward the strategic objectives of the district itself; researching foreign operators and partners; developing communication and promotion strategies. Finally, the project will aim to support companies in planning, organizing and implementing international trade fairs in the eyewear sector, both abroad and in Italy.

Specific objectives

  • Increase the district’s capacity to implement network actions among participating companies
  • Increase the capacity to develop commercial networks in foreign markets
  • Increase the promotional capacity of the district and its products by revaluing the value proposition of the products offered and promoting the made in Italy brand.

The project must be completed by September 2022 and was co-financed by the Veneto Region through PORFESR 2014-2020 – Action 3.4.1 “Export promotion projects for companies and their aggregated forms identified on a territorial or sectoral basis” DGR n1779 of November 29, 2019, which covered 50% of the expenses incurred.

Eligible expenditure for support: €283,650.30

Grant awarded: €141,825.15
